The construction work is related to the first two phases of the prestigious project and GincoGeneral Contracting had been appointed by the company earlier this year for this purpose.
The announcement from the company also included the launch of its third phase, which is scheduled to be completed in the third quarter of 2026.
The company said that buyers had shown overwhelming interest in the project due to which it was working on speeding up the launch of the future phases.
There are 213 units that will be included in the third phase, which include 88 four-bedroom villas, 40 three-bedroom villas, 31 five to seven bedrooms and 54 five-bedrooms.
South Bay is located in the Residential District, which is the center of Dubai South, alongside Expo Road and would have 800 townhouses and villas.
There would also be over 200 waterfront mansions, several beaches, a lagoon covering 1 kilometer and a waterfront promenade stretching over 3 kilometers.
This promenade would have a clubhouse, swimming pools, a shopping mall, lush parks, state-of-the-art fitness centers, multiple beaches, cafes, waterparks, renowned spa, private beaches and kids’ clubs, amongst other amenities.
Residents of Dubai South and South Bay would be able to have a fulfilling luxurious and vibrantlifestyle due to these exceptional amenities.
Dubai South Properties’ CEO, Nabil Al Kindisaid that they were looking forward to starting the constriction of the new project.
He added that since they had launched the unique project, there had been a rise in interest from buyers due to which all of the first three phrases had been sold out.
Therefore, it had encouraged them to launch more phases for keeping up with the rising demand for properties that come with modern amenities and provide tenants with an enriched lifestyle.

The Residential District has been reinforced by Dubai South with numerous amenities for the convenience and comfort of its tenants.
A British-curriculum school is one of these and construction for it has already begun. There is also a hypermarket spread across an area of 50 square feet that opened in March this year.
